Governor Rick Scott speaks at a press conference about cancer research
funding in the "It's Your Money Tax Cut Budget," at 21st Century
Oncology on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Fort Myers, Fla. Scott has
increased funding for state cancer research centers by $30 million.
Scott has proposed budget calls for about $80 million in funding, an
increase over the $50 million in the previous year's budget.
Scott is slated to appear at 2:30 p.m. at 21st Century Oncology’s
Fort Myers headquarters. He’s expected to be joined by company
executives and doctors.
